What We Believe

As a church we are all about Jesus and the gospel of God’s grace.

The word Gospel means Good News. And the word Grace means free, undeserved gift.

We are a church family made up of ordinary people from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures, united in our faith in Jesus Christ as our saviour and Lord. We are not perfect, far from it, but we have a God who is helping us, changing us and giving us certain hope through the gospel. In the bible God has revealed the gracious gift of salvation he offers through Jesus, who brings us back in to relationship with him through his death and resurrection. This good news about Jesus is the only thing that can bring real hope in life and death. Jesus is the centre of all things, and through faith in him we become what we were meant to be and have the certain hope of eternal life. That’s why we love telling people about Jesus and keeping him central in everything we do.

We believe that the whole of the Bible is about him and is as relevant today as it has always been. And so most of what we do is centred around God’s word and seeking to know him, worship him and glorify him better through it.

At Grace Church Leatherhead we want to help and encourage one another in the Christian life, and we are passionate about sharing the good news about Jesus Christ as we seek to love our neighbours and friends. And we would love to share this good news with you.

Why not come along and find out more?

FAITH

COMMITTED TO GROWING

We know we’re not all we should be and we want to help each other to become like Jesus in every area of our lives, trusting Him in every circumstance.

We would love other people to join us on this journey of discipleship.

Ephesians 2:8-9

‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast’

HOPE

PASSIONATE ABOUT SHARING

…the Gospel – the good news of Jesus Christ. We want to give each person in the Mole Valley area and beyond every opportunity to hear about Jesus from his word: the Bible – and respond to him, that they may receive the salvation everyone needs.

Hebrews 6:19

‘We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain’

LOVE

LOVING RELATIONSHIPS

We want to be a a place where we love God and each other as a church family, glorifying Him by showing this love to others in the community.

1 John 4:7

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
